Cloud and Tooling Support Administrator

Excellent long term contract opportunity for an Amazon AWS Cloud solutions engineer to help maintain, troubleshoot the infrastructure and provide support to internal cloud-based tools.

Service4Developers is the entry point of autonomous Cloud sandbox development environment.
PublicCloud will be a highly automated Cloud Hosting solution based on WildFly/PostgreSQL.
Qualified engineers will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.

Profiles
At least 3 year professional experience within large-scale Data Centre environments
At least 6 months of professional experience on cloud environments

Responsibilities
Create and maintain AWS stacks.
Monitoring tooling performance and production jobs
Troubleshoot end-user incidents on infrastructure level only
On-call interventions
Receiving, logging and managing requests from customers via ticketing
Log analysis
Maintain and amend procedures
Reporting
Participate in meetings and training related to the position
Liaise with other technical teams for problem resolution

Requirements
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
AWS Cloud experience, certification is appreciated
Proven working experience with UNIX /Linux based environments
A knowledge in the following domain would be considered as an asset (level 1):
Basic to advanced networking principles (e.g: NACL, routing)
ORACLE Database and SQL knowledge
Scripting skills (e.g., powershell, Python)
ITIL knowledge
ITSM Tools knowledge (SMT, BMC Atrium, Patrol, Proactive Net …)
Experience with a monitoring system
Kubernetes and tools around k8s ecosystem
AWS CDK
DevOps, GitOps principles
A knowledge in the following domain would be considered as nice to have
Artefact store knowledge (Nexus)

Monitoring Dynatrace, Pandora

Knowledge/experience:
IT degree
English fluent is mandatory (speaking & writing), French is an asset

Operations Engineer

Calling for an EU based Operational Engineer with Java development background.

Contract opportunity for a Telecoms client based in Belgium.

Hybrid remote/onsite work model.

The selected Operations Engineer will be joining the Middleware Architecture team of our client to perform some of the operational tasks directly in relation with the agile team delivery.

You’ll be integrated in an agile team (scrum methodology), with some other developers,

architects, product owner and scrum master.

Your role:

In this team, you will perform the following type of tasks:

• aligning with stakeholders on their requirements

• you’ll participate to the standard agile ceremonies

• you’ll participate to some of the component development

• you’ll develop scripts to automate installation, configuration and deployment

• you’ll closely work with middleware operational team to perform several operation tasks

following their standards and their procedure:

  • Daily synch with operational team
  • Operational documentation of procedures
  • Share of knowledge with operational team
  • Setup & deployment of components in different environments

The successful Operations Engineer will have proven experience with:

• Maven

Working collaboratively with Software Engineers the Software Test Engineer would take ownership of the testing requirements.  You must ensure that all function and non-functional requirements are translated into test cases.  Manage the configuration control of hardware and software test environments.  Perform testing and record results.  Ensure testing is carried out with the project constraints.

Working Knowledge Required:

 

  •        Software release and configuration management systems.
  •        Installation and configuration of applications on Windows/Unix/Linux server environments.
  •        SQL to query database table content.
  •        Work in Process Control, Warehouse Automation, Control Logistics or a similar business area.
  •        Experience in performing Factory and User Acceptance Testing.
  •        Testing of mission critical high availability systems.
  •        Generating test scenarios from client’s brief and translating into functional tests.
