We have a long-term contract opportunity for a Technical Business Analyst to join our client in January 2022 for a 12-month contract.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst who has worked in large financial organisations and has experience in software development within the financial industry.

The tasks/activities will include:

-          Assistance to the business departments in writing business cases.

-          Business analysis of complex projects, this will encompass the following tasks:

  • Eliciting requirements,
  • Requirements analysis,
  • Co-authoring of the business requirements with the business experts,
  • Authoring of the functional requirements.

-          Be the interface between the business experts and the IT project managers, solution architects and developers.

-          Assisting the IT developers and IT testers on the business and functional aspects of the projects.

-          Writing conceptual data model, business processes and building the functional architecture of the projects.

-          Eventually participating to the testing activities: writing test strategies, test cases, preparing test data, executing test cases.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business analysis in large (more than 500 employees) financial organisations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development in the finance industry is mandatory.
  • Software architecture experience is recommended.
  • Testing of IT applications in the financial field.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in:
    • Modelling technics and languages: UML and business process modelling.
    • English writing skills (C1 European Level), French is recommended (B2 European Level)

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our client on an initial 3-month contract based in Central London. The role requires you to be onsite for 1 – 2 days a week and the rest of the work can be done remotely.

You will be key to the implementation of technical business projects the Integration of Systems onto the Cloud / Azure Stack. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be working directly with an Architect, stakeholders and technical team members / Developers using C#, React, JavaScript and Azure in an Agile environment to map, analyse and document business processes and projects.

Skills:

  • You will be a skilled Technical Business Analyst, driven and natural problem-solver, inquisitive and analytically skilled.
  • You will be well versed in liaising with stakeholders, developers, and testers using C#, React, DevOps, Azure
  • You will have facilitated workshops and had had relevant experience in breaking down requirements into user stories.
  • You will possess a good working knowledge of MS Office suite, explicitly Microsoft Excel.
  • You will have experience working within a variety of methodologies including scrum/agile.

The role

  • Attending and supporting scrum ceremonies.
  • Liaise closely with your team of developers and testers, specifying and examining user stories.
  • Gathering and creating documented requirements, ensuring user stories are well defined.
  • Integrating Systems onto Cloud / Azure Stack.
  • Providing knowledge to developers and testers with operational challenges.
  • Running your own workshops with the key company stakeholders, forming the business’ requirements.
  • Ensuring privacy, security and risk policies are adhered to and remain compliant.

You will be supporting the IT needs across the Martime sector, sitting within the Business Relations part of the Business Solutions department. You will be assigned to programmes, bids, and projects to work with the business to understand and gather their business case and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the Solution Managers and BRMs to elicit business requirements for programmes and projects – understanding business wants and establish needs and document as necessary
  • Working with and supporting the business on the production of the business case and quantify business benefits
  • Carrying out stakeholder’s analysis understanding roles and involvement in the project
  • Working with development teams to perform a gap analysis on requirements vs solution
