Software Technical Lead – Product Owner – Project Manager

We have an exciting opportunity with our Defence client based in Bristol for a Technical Lead – Product Owner – Project Manager to Project Lead, look after the team, the budget, stakeholders, review documents and Software Design Authority.

Our client works in the defence sector and you need to be able to be Security Cleared. The role is Hybrid with 2 days working from home. An understanding of Software Lifecyle is essential.

The role:

  • Manage customers both internally in Software Engineering (SE) UK and across the wider project, including the Software Requirements Authority and the Head of Weapon System Sub-System.
  • Be responsible for managing allocated project budgets and ensuring they are used efficiently
  • Maintain and communicate the current project schedule, coordinating with the team to meet delivery milestones
  • Work with members of the Group to identify potential improvement opportunities and support their implementation.
  • Act as Software Design Authority by ensuring quality standards are met, leading the formal software release process and continuously looking for ways to increase quality, safety and security.
  • Collaborate with partners to guide future product line roadmaps
  • Control and prioritise project backlogs
  • Support the creation of project and release documentation
