Application Developer

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • To develop, test, maintain and support data processing applications for use in the company’s production environment
  • Software/system design and development of new data processing applications
  • Implementation of changes in existing applications due to changes in requirements
  • Development of support programs for the existing systems and databases
  • Application testing prior to release
  • Data analysis
  • Troubleshooting

Skills:

Application development – good knowledge of:
  • Software architecture, design and development (data processing applications, reports, front ends, databases, other programs)
  • Programming languages: C#
  • Databases: MS SQL programming
  • Knowledge of: WinForms, WCF, WF (advantage), XML, ODBC, ADO.NET, Entity framework, Multi-threading, Multi-tier.
  • Source control: Source Safe, team foundation server
  • Operating systems: MS Windows platform
  • UML
  • Very good analytical and mathematical skills
Data engineering
  • Good knowledge of data administration and problem solving
