Test Analyst

We are urgently recruiting for an experience Tester to join a Large European Organisation based in The Netherlands on an initial 6 month contract.

Skills and experience required :

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in various areas of software testing.
  • 4 years + experience in conducting functional testing.
  • 2 years’ experience in organising/contributing to acceptance testing (UAT/OAT) of internally/externally developed applications.
  • 1 – 2 year of experience in formally reviewing requirements and defining acceptance criteria.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience with Visual Studio Team Foundation Server or equivalent.
  • Theoretical knowledge of the fundamental test process.
  • Knowledge of testing on various test levels using a variety of test types.
  • Knowledge of test design/execution using the following test design techniques:
  • Specification-based (or behaviour-based or black box);
  • Structure-based (or white box); Defect-based Experience-based
  • Determine suitable test approaches,
  • Compose suitable Test Documentation,
  • Define suitable acceptance criteria
  • Review structurally work products from other teams
  • Knowledge how to approach and organize user acceptance testing / operational acceptance testing
  • Knowledge of ISEB/ISTQB  terminology, (demonstrated by passing the relevant certification exam(s)
  • Knowledge of test automation
  • Knowledge of testing JAVA based enterprise solutions               

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of Law Enforcements Analysis platforms (e.g. IBM iBase, Palantir Government or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of Linux shell commands
  • Knowledge of system integration testing
  • Knowledge of SQL

Embedded Linux Software Engineer required to join a large digital tech client based in Edegem, Belgium on a six month initial contract. Working language is English, knowledge of Dutch would be an advantage.

As part of the platform, driver and networking scrum team, the ideal candidate will take up development activities for Linux based gateway products. Working on implementing generic and customer requirements and troubleshooting.

Duties:

  • Experience with developing for an embedded Linux device
  • Embedded SW development (kernel and user space)

  • IP networks, routers, DSL gateways, Network security
  • Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, IGMP
  • Networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, RAD, ND, PPP, IGMP, MLD, )
  • Strong coding skills in C, scripting languages, shell
  • Packet switching
  • OSI model
  • QoS
  • OpenWRT
  • Network tools like ping, iperf, tcpdump, ethereal
  • Debugging on target (JTAG, gdb)

Data Warehouse Test Engineer

Endeavour Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Data Warehouse (DWH) Test Engineer to join our banking client on an initial 8 month contract.

The Test Engineer will be predominantly working on Data Warehouse (DWH) environments.

They will be responsible for test case design and the creation of test scenarios. Furthermore, execution of functional and non-functional test cases and the documentation of test results.


The Role:

DWH / Data warehouse Testing
Execute functional and non-functional test cases
Evaluate test results and document test results into defect tracking tools
Automate test cases as appropriate and feasible
Report to the test manager in creating test related reports and test plans
Suggest enhancements on test process if applicable
Analyze requirements, specifications, design documentation and other project documentation
Design functional and non-functional test cases
Create test data


Skills:

Data Warehouse

Strong knowledge of SQL
Good knowledge on data base systems (e.g. Teradata, Oracle, Informix)
Good knowledge HP Quality Center (ex Test Director)
Good knowledge on the defect life cycle
Basic knowledge in UNIX
Basic knowledge in shell scripting
