Our client has an exciting long-term contract opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer / Analyst for a fully remote or hybrid role working with a global market leader. This role will be an initial 12-month contract with further extensions. You need to be willing to work hours on GMT time.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Cybersecurity Engineering

  • Ensure daily management, administration & maintenance of security devices to achieve operational effectiveness.
  • Quickly resolve any security devices system failures and troubleshoots issues with the OEM.
  • Research Cybersecurity Technologies & keep abreast of trends and standards.
  • Provides advice on technical aspects of Cybersecurity solution development and integration (including management of security infrastructure changes, deviations from specifications, etc.).

Cybersecurity Analyst

Support the implementing and operate the processes to support the Security Operations Framework and highlight the challenges in managing the SLAs with the Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP).

  • Manage and collaborate on security incidents through to resolution between security operations and the Regional Security Officers (RSO’s).
  • Review and analyse reports, dashboards, metrics to support SOC operations. Suggest and implement remediation actions where needed.
  • Obtains vulnerability information and co-ordinates remediation efforts with the Regional Security Officers (RSO’s).
  • Ensuring that the MSSP incident response activities are conducted in accordance with Aspen Group approved policies and procedures, appropriate to the severity and risk of the incident.
  • Take proactive actions to prevent an information security incident from occurring or escalating, where possible.
  • Perform and support any Cyber Security activities to enhance the Cyber Security posture for the Aspen Group Cybersecurity Center of Excellence.

Requirements

Current Industry certification in Information Security, Cyber Security and Cloud Security

Current Industry certification in Cloud Security Platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure).

Business Process Management Methodology (i.e., BPM, SDLC, ITIL, DevOps, Agile, COBIT)

3+ working years’ experience in Cyber Security Operations.

3+ working years’ experience in engaging with a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP).

A sound understanding in various application development software from a plan, build and run perspective

Proven technical experience in managing Cloud platform Security from a plan, build and run perspective.

Human Factors - Remote - Nuclear

Senior Human Factors Engineer, Nuclear

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Human Factors Engineers, you will be joining our client in one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe.

We are looking for individuals to support the Defuel23 programme of work, preparing a dock for defueling and dismantling of submarines.

As a Human Factors Engineer you will be involved in the preparation of Human Factors Substantiation Reports (HFSRs). This substation includes the following processes:

  • Task Analysis;
  • Development of Fault Trees;
  • Calculation of an Initial Human Error Probability (I-HEP) using expert knowledge and experience and taking into consideration the context of the human events (e.g. Performance Shaping Factors (PSFs) and Error Producing Conditions (EPCs)).

HF input to the Verification & Validation (V&V) activities supporting commissioning is also part of this project. This role requires engagement with the wider safety and site teams to understand the wider project to enable the integration of Human Factors.

What do I need to be able to do the role?

You'll be educated to Degree level in an Engineering or Scientific discipline and/or have relevant knowledge and experience; a background in nuclear/radiological safety is highly beneficial for the roles we are looking to fill. You'll  be registered as a Chartered Engineer (or be working towards chartered status). You'll also posses good interpersonal skills and be competent in verbal and written communication, with the ability to operate and interface effectively with Senior Managers and internal stakeholders. Previous experience in Human Factors work is essential, with experience using the following methodologies: Hierarchical Task Analysis THERP, HEART, NARA (preferable). Experience with a recognised Fault Tree Assessment package is also preferable, e.g. Fault Tree+.

What else do I need to know?

•           The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance.

•           This post may be based in an environment regulated by Trade Control legislation and involve working with controlled goods, technology and/or services. This may require you to meet enhanced security and regular screening checks

•           Passport, Licences/Certificates and Qualification documentation must be provided at interview stage.
