Required skills and qualifications:-

  • 10+ years of C/C++ development for embedded systems.
  • Proficient in algorithmic and programing patterns.
  • Expert in knowledge of Linux internals.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in embedded Linux system development: drivers, networking, userspace/kernelspace communication, IPC, firewall.
  • Experience in porting software components and drivers across variety of different architectures ( i.e. MIPS, ARM, IA32 ).
  • Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, PPP, DNS, 802.11, IGMP, UPnP, DLNA) and hands on programming.
  • Knowledge of main networking functionalities (QoS, NAT, Port Forwarding, Security & Firewall).
  • Good knowledge of the Linux filesystems on variety of media (i.e. NAND/NOR flash, HDD).
  • HW knowledge background and knowledge how to use oscilloscope is a plus.
  • Experience in area of DVB standard is a plus
  • Knowledge of Open Embedded/ Yocto is a plus
  • MS or BS EE/CS

Endeavour Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for an experienced GDPR Consultant to join our market leading Travel & Tourism client based in East Grinstead. This is an initial 9 month contract with a day rate of £455.

The successful candidate will be a member of the GDPR project team and will also support the Data Security Compliance Manager with general data protection and data security activities. Demonstrable experience is essential, as is knowledge and understanding of GDPR.  

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in an information security role or team
  • Experience of policy development and information governance
  • Strong understanding of data protection regulation and legislation, including the upcoming GDPR and other privacy based legislation
  • Good knowledge of information security best practice, e.g. ISO 27001, COBIT
  • Familiarity with PCI DSS requirements
  • Experience of project management and business analysis preferable but not essential
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Awareness of risk and privacy assessment techniques and their application
  • Certifications such as: BCS’s ISMP, (ISC)²’s CISSP, ISACA’s CISM or CISA
