Senior Project Manager

Endeavour Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with experience working within an Engineering/Manufacturing based environment to join our leading client in Middlesex, within commuting distance from London.

As the Senior Project Manager you will lead the delivery of complex automation and construction projects into dynamic, evolving and challenging airport environment. Leading cross functional and multidiscipline teams the Senior Project Manager will be accountable for the delivery of key account projects through the full project life cycle. Maintaining a customer partnership and ensuring a high level of satisfaction will be critical to the role.

Desirable experience:

  • Working in some of the following environments:
  • Construction or civil works (working as Principal Contractor),
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Systems engineering environment, managing delivery in-line with the V model,
  • SDLC environment using waterfall
  • Experience in some of following technologies:
  • Engineering or technical environment.
  • PLC or Scada.
  • Information technology or software platforms.
  • Electromechanical.
  • Material handling, processing or conveyor automation.
  • Construction Design Management
  • Project Management qualification or relevant experience.
  • Occasional overseas travel is required.
  • UK travel will be necessary along with a valid UK driving licence
  • Experience of Baggage Handling Systems is not required as extensive training will be provided

Lead Software Engineer

Endeavour Recruitment has a new opportunity for an experienced Lead Software Analyst Programmer. The successful candidate will manage a team of software engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget.   Working closely with the project manager, primary responsibility will be the delivery of the technical scope of the project throughout the full life cycle.   Rate £325-£350 per day.

 

Part of the role will involve change management, risk assessments, liaising with client and suppliers, scoping the project, supervising and allocation of software engineering work.   Candidates must be eligible for or already have Security Clearance.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 Years in Full Software Development Lifecycle
  • Minimum of 3 Years in a Technical Lead role
  • Experience of Designing & Implementing High Availability Systems
  • Analysing Requirements & Compiling Functional Design
  • UML
  • Agile, Waterfall and V methodologies
  • SQL
  • C# - ASP.Net – Visual Studio
  • Experience of working in ISO9001 environment
  • Onsite Testing experience
  • Degree in Computer Science or related subject

Additional Competencies:

  • Business Intelligence reporting and associated dashboard design capability.
  • Good working knowledge of current software legislative requirements.
  • Previous experience in either Logistics, Material Handling or Airports or Manufacturing.

Endeavour Recruitment is seeking a capable Release and Configuration Engineer for their client based in East Midlands.   As a key member of the team the successful candidate will be responsible for software projects throughout the life cycle, i.e. design to completion.   This is a six month contract in the first instance.  Competitive rates.
