Reports to: Senior Project Manager or any senior officer

JOB SUMMARY:
The Change Manager is responsible for driving successful adoption of transformational IT projects, focusing on cultural shifts, behavioural patterns, and innovation management to align the organization with strategic objectives. Leveraging tools such as Neuro-Linguistic Programming [NLP], the Change Manager ensures that employees at all levels are engaged, empowered, and equipped to embrace change while maintaining organizational resilience and fostering continuous innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Change Management Strategy
• Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies for transformational IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational culture and values.
• Address cultural dynamics and behavioral patterns to create a conducive environment for change.
• Integrate innovation management principles into change initiatives to drive creative problem-solving and adaptability.
2. Cultural Transformation
• Analyse the existing organizational culture to identify barriers to change and areas for improvement.
• Design and implement programs to shift cultural norms and embed behaviours that support transformational initiatives.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation across teams.
3. Behavioural Insights & NLP Application
• Use insights from behavioural science and Neuro-Linguistic Programming [NLP] to design interventions that influence positive behavioural change.
• Develop techniques to improve communication, mindset shifts, and emotional resilience among employees.
• Train leaders and teams in NLP techniques to enhance influence, negotiation, and relationship-building during change.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
• Conduct stakeholder analysis to identify key influencers and decision-makers critical to the change process.
• Build trust and engagement with stakeholders through open communication and regular updates.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing coaching and support for managing change within their teams.
5. Communication & Awareness
• Design and execute communication plans that address both rational and emotional aspects of change.
• Create engaging content such as videos, newsletters, and workshops that inspire employees and build confidence in the change.
• Facilitate discussions, town halls, and interactive sessions to ensure clarity and transparency throughout the change process.
6. Training, Coaching & Capacity Building
• Identify training needs arising from changes in systems, processes, or roles.
• Work with training teams to deliver customized programs that enhance skills and readiness for change.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to key leaders, emphasizing emotional intelligence and adaptability.
7. Innovation Management
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by integrating creative thinking tools into the change process.
• Identify opportunities for employees to contribute innovative ideas to enhance change initiatives.
• Support the implementation of innovative technologies and practices, ensuring they align with the organization’s strategy.
8. Resistance Management
• Anticipate and address resistance to change by understanding employee concerns and providing tailored solutions.
• Implement feedback mechanisms to gauge sentiment and adjust change strategies as needed.
• Work with leadership to model and reinforce desired behaviours during the transition.
9. Metrics & Continuous Improvement
• Define success metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, focusing on cultural and behavioural outcomes.
• Monitor adoption rates, employee sentiment, and overall impact of change initiatives.
• Use insights from post-change reviews to improve future change management strategies.
Qualifications
KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience managing change initiatives, including cultural transformation and behavioral change programs.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale IT transformations, such as core banking upgrades, digital transformation, or data initiatives. Strong knowledge of tools [e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Clarity PPM].
• Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and methodologies [e.g., ITIL, COBIT].
• Expertise in change management methodologies [e.g., ADKAR, Kotter’s 8-Step Model] and innovation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, including core banking, digital platforms, and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with behavioral science principles and tools for influencing change.
• Understanding of banking systems, regulatory compliance, and financial planning principles.
• Experience managing diverse teams, including external vendors and consultants.
• Strong understanding of architecture & banking frameworks [e.g., TOGAF, BIAN etc ].
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence behavior and manage diverse stakeholders.
• High emotional intelligence to navigate resistance and foster trust during transitions.
• Leadership skills to inspire and guide teams through uncertainty and change.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
• Certification in Change Management [e.g., Prosci, CCMP] is highly preferred.
• Certification or advanced training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming [NLP] is an advantage.
