Training and Documentation Officer
Location: Brussels (Minimum 3 Days On-Site) | Start Date: 1 April 2026 | Long-Term Contract
We are recruiting an experienced Training and Documentation Officer to join a secure, high-level institutional environment in Brussels.
This position requires a strong background in IT documentation, training delivery, and communications within regulated sectors such as defence, government, EU institutions, secure communications, or financial services.
Substantial on-site presence is required (minimum three days per week, potentially more depending on operational needs).

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree minimum (Master’s preferred)
At least 7 years of relevant IT experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Training and Documentation Officer in defence, government, or financial organisations
EU nationality required
Excellent English (C1–C2 level); strong French language skills required
Strong understanding of IT systems and terminologyCore Responsibilities
Plan, write, edit and maintain user manuals and technical documentation
Manage multiple documentation streams simultaneously
Ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance with corporate quality standards
Develop internal and external communications (newsletters, leaflets, presentations, stakeholder materials)
Coordinate and deliver conventional and e-learning IT training
Oversee the full document development lifecycle
Act as editor and proofreader through structured peer reviews
Track and report on training effectivenessTechnical & Professional Skills
Proven experience writing and proofreading IT documentation
Experience delivering IT training, including e-learning modules
Strong understanding of IT systems and ability to quickly grasp new technologies
Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint and MS Visio
Knowledge of proofreading, typesetting and layout standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
Ability to work independently in structured, multilingual environments
