We are partnering with a leading insurance client in Mauritius to recruit a Senior Security Operations Manager for a high-impact, board-facing role.

This is a senior, hands-on position suited to a technically strong cybersecurity professional who operates comfortably at both strategic and operational levels.

The Role
Reporting directly to the board, you will take ownership of the organisation’s security operations function. This is a senior role without direct line management responsibility, ideal for someone who wants to remain close to the technology while influencing at a strategic level.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee day-to-day security operations
Act as a trusted advisor to the board on cybersecurity strategy and risk
Manage and optimise network security, firewalls, and infrastructure protection
Ensure robust configuration and continuous improvement of security systems
Oversee Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity & Access Management (IAM) frameworks
Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents
Drive best practices across security operations and governance
Requirements

Strong technical background in cybersecurity operations
Hands-on expertise in:Network and infrastructure security
Firewalls and security tooling
PAM and IAM solutions
System configuration and hardening
Experience in a senior or strategic security role
Ability to communicate effectively with board-level stakeholders
Experience within financial services or insurance is advantageous
