Project Manager (PMO Officer)
Location: Antwerpen (Hybrid)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 6 months, with possible extension
Languages: Dutch & English
Onsite Requirement: Primarily onsite in Hoboken; occasional presence in Brussels
We are looking for an experienced PMO Officer to support the Transport & Trade Compliance department. This role focuses on providing structured, hands-on project management support across operational activities, with a particular emphasis on trade compliance. You will work closely with department leadership and internal stakeholders to maintain oversight of ongoing initiatives, prepare project documentation, track progress, and ensure effective coordination.
This role is operational rather than strategic, and is suited to someone who brings structure, organisation, and strong communication skills to a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Department Support
Provide day-to-day project management support to the department and its leadership.
Maintain a consolidated overview of all active requests and initiatives.
Prepare agendas, presentations, action logs, and other materials for project meetings.
Coordinate progress tracking across multiple project streams.
Perform quality checks on project documentation, including plans, business cases, and reports.
Create reporting materials and slides based on stakeholder input.
Identify inconsistencies or anomalies in project data and escalate appropriately.
Collaborate with Finance and HR regarding staffing coordination and monthly reporting.
Contribute to shaping and evolving the role as departmental needs develop.
Technical Requirements
Minimum 7 years of experience as an operational PMO Officer.
Strong understanding of project governance frameworks.
Experience working in an international environment.
Excellent proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
Familiarity with MS Planner.
Experience using project management tools is an advantage.
Experience with reporting and KPI dashboards.
Understanding of standard business processes.
Knowledge of Trade Compliance is beneficial but not required.
