DevOps Engineer

Daily rate: 580 Euros

Dutch or French, Fluent English

Location: Brussels, Minimum 2 days on site

Excellent freelance opportunity for a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join a great team and support the development and operations of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with key DevOps tools and platforms, and demonstrate strong autonomy, communication skills, and the ability to manage both support tasks and improvement projects.

Required Technical Skills:
Strong experience with OpenShift and Docker.
Proficiency in Jenkins for CI/CD automation.
Solid understanding of Nexus repository management.
Experience with Git repositories (Bitbucket preferred).
Familiarity with Snyk or similar security tools.
Working knowledge of Jira for backlog and issue tracking.
Experience in scripting (e.g., Bash, Groovy).
Familiar with monitoring tools and logging systems.
Knowledge of Camunda, Kafka, ELK.
Fluent French or Dutch speaking.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Manage and monitor containerized applications on OpenShift.
Administer and secure artifact repositories using Nexus.
Collaborate with development teams using Bitbucket and Gitlab for version control (Git repository).
Integrate and manage security scanning tools such as Snyk.
Track and manage tasks and issues using Jira.
Provide support to developers and troubleshoot incidents in the DevOps environment.
Lead and execute small-scale improvement projects to enhance DevOps workflows.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and report blockers or risks in a timely manner.
