Business Analyst required!

Freelance contract opportunity.

Hybrid: 2 days/week onsite Brussels

We are looking for a senior and experienced analyst to ensure compliance requirements are understood and implemented for the client to comply with digital operational requirements. The scope of the function will include compliance activities for vendor management, procurement, third party risk management and outsourcing activities.
This is a hands-on role requiring both business-facing and IT facing focus. The candidate is expected to have an understanding of IT subcontracting and what this entails.

Your role:
You will be accountable for the definition and implementation of processes or functions to comply with regulatory requirements, including the following activities:
o Derive a set of activities to comply with formalized outsourcing requirements
o Formalize the requirements and a technical solution for the future setup of a register of information which includes the details of all IT vendors.
o Assist in the definition of an outsourcing policy, agreed within the organisation and with its overseer.
o Help in the definition of exit strategies for each critical vendors.
o Assess the contractual impacts that the regulation will have on critical vendors, ensuring with the help of legal that the contract templates are updated.
o Revise the third party risk management framework, more specifically the Vendor Risk Management as per regulation, for example in including the analysis of concentration risks.

Skills /Experience required:
o A strong understanding of compliance frameworks, policies, and controls
o Proven experience in similar compliance projects combining regulation in with third parties in an IT environment.
– Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with experience interacting at senior levels
o Proven experience in Risk Management, ideally in mission critical environments.
o Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach to compliance challenges
• Proven track record with regards to compliance frameworks, policies, and controls
• Proven track record in compliance projects combining regulation in with third parties in an IT environment
• Proven track record in Risk Management, ideally in mission critical environments
