IT Support Technician

 

We are looking for a dynamic IT Support Technician with a “can do spirit” to deliver excellent results. We are offering a challenging, multi-national IT environment where the IT infrastructure and software is managed, manufactured and developed in-house. You will be working as a part of the North-East-European R&D IT group with possibilities to travel and support sites in other countries.

Key responsibilities

-          User desktop/laptop, scanner, printer support, helps resolving problematic events.

-          Desktop/laptop provision, prepare corporate standard OS/Software/Application and security settings before distributing to end users.

-          User training on IT platforms/OA/Application/Services.

-          Local IT server room, including local network infrastructure.

-          Video and voice conference system, AV-equipment support.

What we expect

-          Fluency in English

-          Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office suite.

-          Familiar with LAN technologies (e.g. Cisco CCENT or CCT Routing and Switching).

-          Windows Server, AD, DHCP.

-          Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).

-          Minimum 2 years work experience in IT field.

-          Optimistic, proactive, team player.

Advantages

-          Bachelor or above degree in computer science or information technology.

-          Familiar with

  • WAN technologies (e.g. Cisco CCNA or Huawei HCIA Routing and Switching).

3rd Line Support Engineer

Endeavour Recruitment has an excellent permanent opportunity for one of our clients based in Hampshire.

Objective:

To provide technical support for server infrastructure and LAN WAN networks for external customers, assisting them through onsite support and consultancy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles

Consult on infrastructure problems and provide suitable networking solutions

Take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues

Log all calls on the call logging system and maintain full documentation. Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems detected

Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve hardware or software problems

Resolve all IT issues with a professional manner and allocate more complex service issues to the relevant IT Support member

Skills / Attributes Required:

Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows 2003 / 2008 server and Exchange Server 2003 / 2007 /2010

Excellent telephone manner and client facing experience

A Microsoft certification such as an MCSE or MCITP is desirable

Other industry standard qualifications and advantageous

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Must be currently SC or NATO cleared.
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in a technical subject with substantial ICT content and 4 years post related experience.
  • The absence of a university/college degree may be compensated by the demonstration of at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in the duties related to the function of the post.

IT Security Analyst

Endeavour is looking for a skilled, service oriented IT Security Analyst to join a large, reputable client based in Belgium. The contract would initially be for 6 months, with possible extensions.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have some experience in the security domain or in the IT application security architecture.

Your main responsibilities will include the following tasks:

  • Perform or coordinate the security validation to ensure effective implementation of security controls in project development lifecycle
  • Ensure the timely and effective remediation of security weaknesses and defects revealed in security validation during PLC
  • Assist in coaching of application security controls with the SME and act as the security point of contact for the business and project teams
  • Assist with SME for the integration of application security in projects e.g. authentication and authorisation, non-repudiation, cryptographic controls, data protection
  • Produce documented security services, technical standards or principles.

 

 Skills and experience required:

  • Familiarity with industry best practices in key domains: risk assessment, application security, identity and access management, and secure development on all platforms.
  • Sound security design principles, based on confidentiality, integrity and availability requirements and other ISO27002 security principles are an asset;
  • Application security knowledge with a good understanding of software development and OWASP guidelines
  • Knowledge of and experience with security technologies including IDAAS and identity management platforms, PKI and cryptographic solutions, web application firewalls, automated code review tools, secure management access, virtualization, XaaS solutions
  • Sufficient background knowledge with regard to network principles and protocols used in WAN and LAN's, DMZ, Internet security, , network segregation
  • Experience with a subset of Unix, Windows System, tandem, mainframe security and assurance
  • proven experience in security risk assessments, development of functional security requirements, process design and management reporting.
  • Experience in security design, architecture and project management is a strong advantage.

Working within large enterprise network environments, the Network Design Engineer will design (HLD & LLD), and manage network solutions, migrations or new device implementations.

Solutions are mainly HP, Cisco (Routers, Switches and wireless controllers); Riverbed WAN accelerators, Aruba wireless, Software Defined Networks and F5 BigIP Load Balancers.

Ideal skills & experience profile;

  • Cisco CCNP or other equivalent professional level of certification
