Business Analyst

Calling for a seasoned Business Analyst with strong testing skills to join a global and reputable organisation, headquartered in beautiful Geneva.

This role is onsite, and therefore, only Swiss or EU citizens who are willing to work in our client’s location can be considered for this project.

The Business Analyst will be part of a project which is aimed at continuing the ongoing development of a common IT platform which connects multiple IT platforms of client’s fee-paying services.

Your role:

The Business Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the design, implementation and

monitoring of Portal program features, designing and implementing business test cases, provide

customer support as well as assisting Program Manager and Project Managers for the project

execution, and carrying out other specialized activities to effectively support the work of the

program initiatives.

The Business Analyst works under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager of the Portal

Customer Experience project.

 

Skills and experience required:

• Business analyst with strong background in testing.

• Expert knowledge and experience in using tools to model test cases.

• Testing skills: JUnit, SonarQube, Selenium, Katalon

• Formal training in recognized business analysis techniques, reinforced with appropriate work experience

• Formal training and extensive experience using the proven frameworks such as SCRUM software development framework (ideally including SCRUM master or product owner certification or equivalent).

• Experience in performing the role of a business analyst in IT software application development projects

• Expert knowledge and experience in using tools to document processes and workflows, such as Use Case Diagrams, Data and Process Flow Diagrams etc.

• Expert knowledge in measuring and tracking delivery of systems as fit for purpose and in accordance with agreed requirements(KPIs, quality measurements & control points)

• Expert knowledge and experience in configuring and using test automation tools.

• Expert knowledge of SDLC and CI/CD best practices.

• Practical experience working in an international diverse environment.

• Confident communicator and team player, with advanced/proficient level written and verbal English communication skills

Selenium expert

Calling for Selenium experts!

Endeavour has a long-term contract opportunity for a Selenium specialist to join a reputable banking sector client, based in Luxembourg.

The role will be a mix of onsite/home-based work: the expectation is to work onsite at least 1 day per week.

The selected Selenium specialist profile will be responsible for the following deliverables:

  • Develop test scenarios for functional, integration, usability and performance testing based on business and technical requirements
  • Implement tests automation using Katalon/Selenium (FE and BE)
  • Write test scripts for manual tests and create test data for complex integrated system
  • Maintain existing test suite (auto and manual)
  • Support the application releases, by monitoring and stabilizing the existing automated test suites execution
  • Build test plan, perform test execution, report issues and perform quality checks after issue resolution
  • Participate in manual regression testing
  • Reviews test scenarios, scripts and test data developed by other team members
  • Document testing activities (management of test execution results in test management tool, contribute to creation of test reports and quality assurance metrics)

Experience/Functional and technical skills requested:

  • Proven experience in a testing environment in cross-functional teams  (2+ years)
  • Proven hands - on experience in script development using scripting languages (2+ years)
  • Experience using test management/tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Xray)
  • Experience with test automation Selenium with JAVA mandatory, SoapUI, source code repository (e.g GitHub), continuous integration tool (Jenkins)
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • SQL, relational databases
  • Katalon experience is considered an advantage
  • Strong organizational skills, good time management skills
  • Very good communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Developer in Test

Endeavour Recruitment has an exciting new contract opportunity for a Software Developer in Test to join an international security client in The Hague, Netherlands. It is essential you possess valid/current SC or NATO Secret Clearance. This is initially a 5 month contract at an all-in rate of €53EUR per hour.

 

The successful Software Developer in Test will be responsible for the following –

  • Our client is looking for a motivated, skilled and experienced software developer to kick-start the integration of automated regression testing in their CI/CD system build on Azure Devops.
  • The application under test is a large scale (> 1M LOC) Windows Forms application providing support to the full planning cycle of the client’s operations.
  • The application uses an interface similar to Office 2016 and is mostly built using DevExpress components. The chosen testing framework to use for the project is Appium + WinAppDriver. This framework is the supported Microsoft framework, uses the same protocol and principles of the leading Web test tool (Selenium) and replaces CodedUI which VS2019 is the last version to support. The test specification will be developed in C#.
  • The goal of the project is to complete in 5 months (800 hours) from scratch, the automated test skeleton development, CI adjustment and integration, communication and minimal documentation for a set (minimum 6) of representative large-scale regression scenarios on two applications (OPT and OMT).

The successful Software Developer in Test must have the following experience –

  • MUST HAVE VALID/CURRENT SC OR NATO SECRET CLEARANCE.
  • University degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong C#, Microsoft .Net experience
  • Experience with test development (particularly integration, system and regression tests)
  • Experience with Appium or Selenium
  • Knowledge of WinForms controls / applications
  • Experience with Azure Devops CI/CD is a plus

QA Test Engineer

Endeavour is looking for an experienced QA Test Engineer for a 6 month contract position at our client’s development office in Cork.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical testing background and an interest in moving towards a development role or some level of production support background, especially in a web based system.

The successful candidate will work closely with both the software development teams and management to ensure that the company continues to deliver high quality software and maintains the operation of existing production systems.

 

Your role will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Provide input and leadership to the project team as per best practice (estimating, designing, developing and executing test procedures and test cases).
  • Provide guidance to the project team about functionality and quality in relation to the testing approach.
  • Report regularly on the test metrics and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Review specification documents with the project team so that accurate and comprehensive test plans can be created.
  • Ensure deployed software meets expectations and have frequent reviews with the project team on the status and results of testing.
  • Be competent in the use of test automation and test tracking tools to maximise productivity during the regression testing and performance testing phases of the project.
  • Recommend and develop improvements to the current testing process.
  • Manage priorities and set expectations when faced with multiple demanding tasks.
  • Take ownership over incoming support issues and where possible learn how to apply simple production fixes or direct to the correct internal resource.

Required skills / experience:

  • Must have 4+ cumulative years system-testing experience (not localisation) with particular emphasis on web based testing.
