Calling for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Analyst to join a London based client for a contract opportunity.

The role is hybrid and would be initially till end of March 2023, with possibility of extension.

Our client is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Analyst who will be BAU support to servers within their Azure infrastructure: they need someone with very good Azure infrastructure and server skills. Experience and skills around Endpoint Manager is also required.

Skills/knowledge required:

  • Experience of working as a Cloud Analyst in a complex environment with a hybrid infrastructure based on systems hosted internally and externally, including PaaS and SaaS
  • High degree of technical expertise as well as business understanding
  • Ability to manage tasks in a matrix environment
  • Good working knowledge of a Project Management Framework
  • Experience of working within an ITIL Framework
  • Developing and managing relationships across IT and within the Business
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues
  • Manage simultaneously and conflicting priorities
  • Must have a good knowledge in the following areas:

             Administering public cloud infrastructure such as Microsoft Azure specifically:

Our client, a global leader in their area requires a Third Line Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in the Central London office

The Infrastructure Engineer will design and maintain IT systems and infrastructure. The role will have responsibility for the delivery of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks. You will be an infrastructure technical advisor and provide technical guidance and delivery for projects and support within the IT Services team.

You will be required to develop, maintain and support the company infrastructure, keeping up with business needs while minimising the impacts of change and the risk of downtime to the business. As a 3rd line Engineer, you will have an active role in the helpdesk function within the IT Services team and be a point of escalation for problems triaged by the team.

A successful Infrastructure Engineer will be capable of working under their own initiative and setting their own workload targets. The day-to-day work will be split between providing 3rd line support on the helpdesk and infrastructure projects.

Requirements:

Competent with Microsoft infrastructure (Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, Hyper-V and SCVMM) – accreditations are a bonus

Advanced knowledge of network and firewall equipment (WatchGuard/HP Aruba is an advantage)

Skills in key scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash)

Experience in working with macOS systems – a bonus

Ability to research, design and implement IT systems based on business requirements

Excellent contract opportunity for an experienced DevOps Engineer (Azure)  to join our leading clients growing development team who will contribute to the continued success of products and technical solutions.

You will design, develop and in some cases own the automated deployment, maintenance and monitoring of  SaaS products, using your experience to achieve this within optimal cost.

Working with Development Teams, within a Scrum framework, you will design and implement robust procedures for deployment to internal and external environments to minimise downtime and proactively address information security risks through principles of shared responsibility across the Microsoft Azure platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain and optimise infrastructure as code across Azure.
  • Implement continuous integration, deployment and infrastructure / application monitoring through collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Implement processes to support the availability of appropriate pre and production environments for team members including Developers and QA Professionals.
  • Support and improve monitoring tools to provide early visibility to the business of (1) Compliance to performance, availability, incident SLA’s; (2) scaling

Role accountabilities

  • Create, maintain and optimise infrastructure as code across Azure.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement, through automation, documentation, process change, or working methods, in addition to business-generated requirements.
  • Implement continuous integration, deployment and infrastructure / application monitoring through collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Implement processes to support the availability of appropriate pre and production environments for team members including Developers and QA Professionals.
