Our Insurance client in Dublin, Ireland has a need for a Engineer to join them and assist with Development and Support functions

The Role:

Mainframe / Cobol / CLOAS Support and IT Development. Participate in and support the development of computer applications within a development team in a timely manner, within budget and as per client requirements.

1. Interact with and agree development requirements with stakeholders
2. Design minor fixes and enhancements to existing IT applications, ensuring these meet requirements.
3. Build IT solutions that adhere to coding standards and are consistent with the strategy for the area/project.
4. Support the development team in the preparation of testing requirements, defect management and metric reporting.
5. Support and work with the team to deliver projects to schedule and budget.
6. Any other duties as assigned by you manager.

You will have specific experience of the CLOAS administration system. This is an exciting and respected role which requires development experience in Cobol and CLOAS. Knowledge of JCL, CICS, Life Assurance/Financial services business highly beneficial.
